The Washington Square Park Advisory Council is a non-profit organization comprised of volunteers to serve as advocates for the historic Washington Square Park,
Chicago’s oldest park.
By working together and providing suggestions and recommendations to the Chicago Park District and other municipal partners, the Council aims to :
* improve park conditions
* helps create attractive and enjoyable programs
* provide volunteer opportunities engaging the community
* strives to secure funding to enhance the park’s environment
Join in the fun-
We are an all neighborhood organization that welcomes your participation. Join a committee that strikes your interest and meet your neighbors-
Landscaping - keeping our greenery healthy & the Park tidy
Membership - expanding the community of friends & members
Fundraising - building a base from donations for Program expenses
Social Media – putting the Park as a center of interest and activity
Programs – managing live entertainment for our neighbors to enjoy
Communication – providing direct, honest information about events or
happenings in the park
Participate with you Voice or Ideas-
The Council meets the 2nd Wednesday of every month, from 6 PM to 7 PM, at Newberry Library.
All are welcome to attend, and are invited to be added to the agenda for discussion of issues.
Communications are always recommended first at the committee level.
